Crossing The Bridge, Once Again

It never gets easier, does it..........
I had never been with one of mine at home at the end.....all these days, trying to feed, water, medicate, comfort......
I had no idea how much it would take out of everyone......but in the end, I know that we did the right thing......and if I had to do it again, I wouldn;t have it any other way......When she truly believed that it was ok to let go, she left us.

How strange, it seems like only yesterday that she came into our lives.....you all know how it is, how you feel their prescence after they are gone.
The house seems very empty...as quiet as she was, she loved to be with us. I can only hope that we gave her one tenth the amount of love and healing, that she gave to us over the last 11 years.......we will miss her so very much.

  2. Nancy, I'm so sorry to hear about your beloved kitty. Yes, our pets certainly do get into our hearts and stay long after they are gone. We had to say goodbye to our Tiger-Gal shortly before Christmas. She was almost 14 years old and I miss her so. Please know I'm sending you hugs.

  4. Auntie Nancy, we know Princess had the best ever home - and the bestest care. She already had heaven on earth.

Run Free Dear Princess and we hope you see our Java Bean and McDhubh up there.

  6. We're so very sorry. We've been there at the end way too many times and we understand the emptiness and the silence that happens even with a house full of other animals. We'll all be thinking of you and the Princess. She's in good company at the bridge.

  7. You're all in my thoughts and prayers; it's never easy to lose a beloved companion, no matter how many or few legs they have. She's waiting for you in heaven, of that you can be sure.
