Our home, three blocks from the ocean, I am told is on a desirable lot...I believe that may be true, depending on what type of beach you call a "real" beach. I love to imagine what it may have looked like here, before people began to "improve " it...I have been traveling to Chincoteague since 1997.Often people ask me why I continue to say that no other beach can compare....
When I think of a natural beach, I think of the National Sea Shore...Assateague...mile after mile of life in many forms
People are different here....they truly believe that the beach must be treated with respect...
Nesting birds are guarded dutifully....Ponies share the turf with birds, and deer...and oh those dolphins..
....all in harmony with the land and the ocean...
...I could never tire of the changing Sea.
Following a long reflective walk on the shoreline, you have to hike on the trails, where many others find their inspiration...Can you imagine how beautiful her finished work will be?Waiting for the right moment....
Wising...
Fishing....
Strutting and doing a happy walk!I must have watched this egret for an hour....until the others arrived!
I do hope that you have enjoyed the last two weeks with me....we had a terrible storm the other night and lost power overnight.......hence the post is well overdue, but hopefully worth the wait ;o)

Harsh storms all over and at my sister's on Wednesday, I saw on t.v. there were more than 2,000 lightening strikes from the VA/NC border to Fredericksburg.

I'm with you. I love natural uncrowded beaches. I'm glad you've had such a wonderful trip. Hug the babies real big when you get home.
