Make Mine A Double Monday!

Well here's the story that I promised (from Angus' pawspective) about the groomer ( and not being groomed!)

"My friend Richard dropped me off at the vettie place....Ma was busy waiting for Dad to get home and was running around like a chicken with no head. Well to make a long tail short( which was what the lady tried to do to me)......I was a chicken, and I lost my head."

"There were a lot of big dogs barking and growling and howling. The lady seemed nice and was very pretty. Everything was going fine. I had my nice bath, and my fur got dried real nice....then I lost my mind....at least that's what my Ma said I did."
"Normally I put up with a lot.....I even let the lady vet hog tie me to get a pee sample the last time we were there! They put a leather muzzle on me and when Ma saw me, she said it looked like I was in a bad movie that had doggie bondage....or was that bonedage...I forget."

"The nice tech lady took me away and put me in a little cage with the other little dogs.......I was embarrassed, but what could I do? I waited for Ma to come and get me and we went home....without a haircut. Now Ma told me today that my new Auntie Lynn will help her cut my hair. When my baby sister Becky BlueBelle gets here on Saturday they will try and make me look presentable....I think that means that I'm supposed to look like a present for Becky!"

"That's my tail ( errrrrr...tale) of a bad hair day...and Ma told me that she may accidentally spill beer on the keyboard again...but that it might be a double after all the stress...but Ma still loves me no matter what and that makes me happy!"

Hence the need for the double martini, followed many hours later after having conzumed the double caffeine beverage.

Five More Days

  3. Poor Gussie....grooming is alwasy stressfull. Poking and prodding and pulling and snipping and buzzing ....aaaaaarrrrrrooooooo...whats a dog to do? Snap, growl, go away! Do you get clippered or buzz'd? We don't have any 'strippers' around here..BOL!!! Well, dog groomer kinds anyways. I get buzz'd with clippers. But I think Miss Lynn does the hand strippy thingy. Lemme know how that works out for yah! Have a couple of pawtini's first though.

  7. We love that 'shaggy bear' look--not that we're allowed to be shaggy. Hey, only cooperate if they give you treats.

  9. Hi Nancy and G dog,
Bless your heart G dog. Bambi hates baths!!! She doesn't have to get her hair cut thank God.
I have had her to a groomer once, they couldn't give her a bath!!!!!! Ever since then Tom and I give her a bath in the tub and she hates it but she puts up with it!!!

  12. We've had some bad doos from the groomer till we met Miss C who does a good job on us and makes Mom smile. Tsra's the winner, though. He went bonkers at the groomers and did damage to himself. He's never had to go back.
