In Memory Of Renee

In her memory, this post is dedicated....for Renee, for her family, for all of those who have been touched by her life. I only knew her for a brief amount of time. I can only hope that the following prayer reflects what I feel she is saying to those left behind. Thank you Renee....so blessed to have met you.

An Indian Prayer

I give you this one thought to keep,
I'm with you still. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush,
Of quiet birds in circled flight
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not think of me as gone
I am with you still, in each new dawn.
Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there, I do not sleep.
Do not stand there at my grave an cry
I am not there, I did not die.
